PSALMODY

Ant. 1 He is the sacrifice that takes our sins away, and not only ours but whole world's.

Psalm 116:10-19
Thanksgiving in the Temple

Through Christ let us offer God a continual sacrifice of praise (Hebrew 13:15)

I trusted, even when I said:
"I am sorely afflicted,"
and when I said in my alarm:
"No man can be trusted."

How can I repay the Lord
for his goodness to me?
The cup of salvation I will raise;
I will call on the Lord's name.

My vows to the Lord I will filfill
before all his people.
O precious in the eyes of the Lord
is the death of his fathful.

Your servant, Lord, your servant am I;
you have loosened my bonds.

A thanksgiving sacrifice I make:
I will call on the Lord's name.

My vows to the Lord I will fulfill
before all his people,
in the courts of the house of the Lord,
in your midst, O Jerusalem.

Ant. He is the sacrifice that takes our sins away, and not only ours but whole world's.

Psalm Prayer
Father, precious in your sight is the death of the saints, but precious above all is the love with which Christ suffered to redeem us. In this life we fill up in our own flesh what is still lacking in the sufferings of Christ; accept this as our sacrifice of praise, and we shall even now taste the joy of the new Jerusalem.

Ant. 2 With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption.

Psalm 130
A cry from the depths

He himself will save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21)

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord,
Lord, hear my voice!
O let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleading.

If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt,
Lord, who would survive?
But with you is found forgiveness:
for this we revere you.

My soul is waiting for the Lord,
I count on his word.
My soul is longing for the Lord
more than watchman for daybreak.
Let the watchman count on daybreak
and Israel on the Lord.

Because with the Lord there is mercy
and fulness of redemption,
Israel indeed he will redeem
from all its iniquity.

Ant. With the Lord there is mercy and fullness of redemption.

Psalm Prayer
Listen with compassion to our prayers, Lord. iThe forgiveness of sins is yours. Do not look on the wrong we have done, but grant us your merciful kindness.

Ant. 3 You showed your power among the peoples. Your strong arm redeemed your people.

Canticle: Revelation 4:11; 5:9, 10,12
Redemption hymn

O Lord our God, you are worthy
to receive glory and honor and power.

For you have created all things;
by your will tehy came to be and were made.

Worthy are you, O Lord,
to receive the scroll and break open its seals.

For you were slain;
with your blood you purchased for God
men of every race and tongue,
of every people and nation.

You made of them a kingdom,
and priests to serve our God,
and they shall reign on the earth.

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
to receive power and riches, wisdom and strength,
honor and glory and praise.

Ant. You showed your power among the peoples. Your strong arm redeemed your people.

READING
2 Corinthians 1:18-20

I swear by God's truth, there is no YES and NO about what we say to you. The Son of God, the Christ Jesus tha we proclaimed among you, was never YES and NO: with him it was always YES, and however many the promises God made, the YES to them all is in him. That is why it is THROUGH HIM tha we answer AMEN to the praise of God.

RESPONSORY

My love for you will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken.
– My love for you will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken.

Your sons will al be taught by God. The prosperity of your sons will be great.
– My love for you.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
– My love for you will never leave you, and my covenant of peace with you will never be shaken.

GOSPEL CANTICLE

Ant. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, who is just; he is the sacrifice tha takes our sins away, and not only ours but the whole world's.

Canticle of Mary
Luke 1:46-55
The soul rejoices in the Lord

My + soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, †
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior *
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

From this day all generations will call me blessed: †
the Almighty has done great things for me, *
and holy is his Name.

He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.

He has shown the strength of his arm, *
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, *
and has lifted up the lowly.

He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and the rich he has sent away empty.

He has come to the help of his servant Israel *
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his children for ever.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.

Ant. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, who is just; he is the sacrifice tha takes our sins away, and not only ours but the whole world's.

INTERCESSIONS

By his death and resurrection, our Saior made the whole of creation new. Let us adore him and cry aloud for joy:
– Lord, may your Kingdom come.

Christ, our hope, you abolished death and proclaimed life and immortality,
– even when it seems our hope cannot be fulfilled, make us hold on firmly to our hope in you.

Redeemer of all, to put an end to death and reveal the Redemption, you opened your arms on the cross,
– reveal yourself to all who do not know you.

Redeemer of all, you came to proclaim the Good News to the poor, to raise the downtrodden, to heal divisions among men,
– teach us to love peace and justice, and to live a life like yours.

To death you are an enemy, to life a friend,
– may our dead find joy in the light of your face.

THE LORD’S PRAYER

CONCLUDING PRAYER
Eternal Father, to conquer death and bring us back to life you made your only Son Redeemer of mankind. May we ever remember your kindness, cling to you with unfailing love and so enjoy the benefits of your Redemption. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
