Wednesday, October 16, 2019 – St. Margaret Mary Alacoque              Rom 2:1-11; Lk 11:42-46 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jesus said, “Woe to you Pharisees! You pay tithes of mint and of rue and every garden herb, but you pay no attention to judgment and to love for God.” Lk 11:42

When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, He showed her His heart from which the flames of love flicked and said, "Behold the Heart that has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify to Its love... My Divine Heart is so inflamed with love for men, and for you in particular, that being unable any longer to contain within Itself the flames of Its burning Charity, It must spread them abroad by your means, and manifest Itself to them in order to enrich them with the precious graces of sanctification and salvation necessary to withdraw them from the abyss of perdition. I have chosen you as an abyss of unworthiness and ignorance to accomplish so great a design so that all may be done by Me."

God is generous and teaches us love and mercy. What treasures do you take from His Heart to make this world better and more beautiful?

“Do not forget that true love sets no conditions. It does not calculate or complain, but simply loves.” St. John Paul II
