Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. Lk 18:1
In the Roman parish of St. John de la Salle, there probably was not a person who did not know Francesca. Many have admired her tireless work for the parish and church, her commitment to the community and her participation in almost all parish activities. Suddenly, a moment came that completely changed her life. She became ill with leukemia, that set her aside from the life of the parish community and opened a new chapter of her life in which she could no longer serve God in the Church, but finally began to be with God in prayer and suffering. She realized that, despite spending much time in church service, she spent very little time in prayer. The illness she had initially considered to be a great injustice, brought a blessing to her life. She recognized the gift of prayer and began to work, not for God but with God.
Is there a cross in your life that God has turned into a blessing? Does prayer have an important place in your life?
“By praying, man confesses to God that he needs Him.” St. Augustine
