"The greatest grace that the Savior can give a soul is finding her worthy to follow in His footsteps." Venerable Mother Alphonse Marie
On Sunday, February 12, 2017, the people who attended Holy Mass joined us for coffee and donuts followed by a skit about Consecrated Life. The skit showed those who were present that Jesus, the Lord of sea and sky, the Lord of snow and rain, the Lord of wind and flame, was looking for those are willing to bear His light to the people and to speak His words to them. "Whom shall I send?", He asked.
The Sisters answered the call by singing:
Here I am, Lord. It is I, Lord.
I have heard you calling in the night.
I will go, Lord, if you lead me.
I will hold your people in my heart.
Then Jesus chose His followers – us, the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer – calling each of us by name: Sister…
Those He chose, He gave them a hug as a sign of close friendship. Then He sent them two by two ahead of Him to everyone present in the dining room to give them a blessing and a little present.
It was amazing to see tears in the eyes of people and to hear their joyous singing accompanying the Sisters: “Rejoice and be glad! Blessed are you, holy are you! Rejoice and be glad! Yours is the kingdom of God!”
At the end, Jesus sent all those present, to the world to preach His Gospel. All those present were singing: “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord…”
Thanks to God for the grace of Consecrated Life and helping us to do this skit. Thanks to all those who joined us and expressed their appreciation for the program and for us, Religious. We can say with Venerable Mother Alphonse Marie:
“O my Jesus, I would love to praise You and glorify your Name throughout the day.”
