You know the words of the holiday song, "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..." However, with no snow in sight on Sunday, December 16, 2018, the Sisters at the Motherhouse were thinking, "It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas."
Following an annual tradition, the Religious Education students (grades 6-8) from St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth treated the Sisters and two priests to a variety of Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, treat bags and a medley of Christmas carols.
Accompanying the almost forty students were their director Joan and her husband Chuck, several aiders, parents and brothers or sisters. The parish's permanent deacon, John and his wife also joined the party, as they have often done in the past.
As the students departed, the convent became quieter. The party was over, but many hearts were filled with sights, sounds, and taster of Christmas!
