The Epiphany of the Lord

“Magi from the east were overjoyed at seeing the star, and entering the house they saw the child with Mary his mother. They prostrated themselves and did him homage.”

On the day of the Epiphany of the Lord all nations are invited to sing Lord's praises for they have been called to hear the good news and worship the long-awaited Messiah, Redeemer, and King with the gifts of their lives.

Give homage the King of kings and let your heart fill with the light of God's grace.

In the USA is a tradition to celebrated this sollemnity the following Sunday after January 1st. There is also tradition to bless houses of Christian families. Our Community keeps this tradition very faithfully. During the day of the Epiphany of the Lord we usually gather in the chapel where we start the blessing of our Motherhouse. Our Priest says this prayer:

Blessed are you, Lord God, King of the universe. You have shared your life and grace with our family. In your mercy bless us, and bless our home. May we be people of prayer, and our home a place of prayer, joy, and peace. Let us live in your love, and be generous in our love and service of others. May the faith of Mary and Joseph and all your Saints inspire us to follow the example of your Son Jesus, Who is our Lord and Redeemer for ever and ever. AMEN.
Christ bless this house.

Sometimes we enjoy the real three kings. They usually come from Persia and share with us gifts from the Orient.

Thank You, Lord, that you came to this world and revealed Your glory to all nations.

Blessing

God go before you to lead you.
God go behind you to protect you.
God go beneath you to support you.
God go beside you to befriend you.
Let the blessing of Almighty God--
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--
come upon you and settle in around you.
Do not be afraid.
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.
